Make Your Mission Matter.

Client: Movement in Refuge

Movement in Refuge believes sport can transform the lives of young refugees. They had powerful first-hand stories, compelling evidence on the mental and physical health benefits of fitness and an inspiring grassroots model. But as a new non-profit, how could they capture hearts, build trust and grow financial and volunteer support in a crowded, cause-driven landscape?

That’s where I came in.

I created a storytelling strategy rooted in audience-research and messaging that would resonate for a sport-minded public. I uncovered what this audience cares about, what stories move them, and delivered the insights, tools, and storytelling framework Movement in Refuge needed to tell stories with clarity, credibility, and emotional resonance to inspire donations and future volunteers.

Kate’s insight and creativity has transformed how we communicate about refugees and sport. She has shifted our understanding of how to communicate about life as a refugee in a way that ordinary people in richer more developed countries can resonate with. She combines intelligence, creativity and heart in a way that’s rare and deeply impactful.
