About Kate

The air was thick and humid after a heavy rain. Traffic in Kampala, Uganda, had been diverted through a muddy side street in a shanty town. Children laughed while dodging vehicles, and buses tipped along eroded roads lined with coffin stalls, market stands, and NGO outposts. At 18, I knew: I wanted to influence decision-makers. I changed my course of study, and seven years later I left Australia for the United Nations.

Over the next 17+ years working in government and the UN, I dedicated myself to shaping  global humanitarian policy and advancing efforts to make aid more effective for those who need it most.

I’ve briefed ministers and Heads of Organizations, advised ambassadors, led intergovernmental negotiations, presented to donors, authored global policy reports, organized high-level events, and developed strategic plans.

Again and again, I saw that influencing decisions takes more than data, research, and evidence. It had to resonate. Decision-makers act on what they can understand, remember, and connect to. They need stories.

That’s where I come in: I help organizations turn complex research and data into clear, compelling narratives and stories that drive decisions at the highest levels.

Let’s have a discussion about how I can help you uncover the stories and narratives that will achieve your mission.
